Leaf Fall Clearance

Leaves on the groundEvery autumn Haringey Council and its contractor (now Veolia) provide special street sweeping services to cope with the large quantity of leaves that fall from the trees.

This leaf fall is difficult to predict, but experience shows that the main clear up operation will be needed from mid-October to late December. Sometimes the leaves fall gradually and the normal street sweeping services will be sufficient, but in periods of high winds the number dropping onto the borough's pavements and streets can increase significantly and additional resources are then needed to help keep roads safe.

During the leaf fall period the council continually monitors how the clearance operation is going. However, if you have concerns about safety on your road because of wet leaves then please contact the Veolia Haringey Contact Centre to report the issue:

Tel: 020 8885 7700
Email: enquiries.haringey@veolia.co.uk

If there has been a rapid fall of leaves during windy weather then please be patient, as it is not possible to sweep every street in the borough immediately.
