Avoiding payments

If you ignore a Penalty Charge Notice, a Notice to Owner/Enforcement Notice and refuse to pay the charge will increase by 50% to the surcharge rate and you will be issued with a Charge Certificate. If you do not pay the increased charge within 14 days the debt will be registered with the County Court. This will add a further £5.00 in court costs to the outstanding debt and an Order for Recovery will be sent to you.

If you still refuse to pay the Council will obtain a warrant and pass the debt to bailiffs to collect on our behalf. The bailiff can seize goods to cover the parking fine plus their costs.
