Give or Take Days
Haringey Council has run a number of Give or Take days across the borough since 2008 including at the annual Green Fair, in partnership with Forest Recycling Project.
The aim of a Give or Take day is to allow residents to bring good quality unwanted items they no longer want so that others can take them, all for free. Each event we have run has seen an average of 1 tonne of items exchanged.
If you are interested in holding a Give or Take day for your local community why not have a look at the Forest Recycling Project webpage and the Give or Take toolkit (see external links section). The toolkit is a useful document that lets you know how to run an event and what to expect. For further information please email: environmental.resources@haringey.gov.uk
Alternatively you can give items away for free by advertising them on websites such as Freecycle and Freegle (see external links section).
