Street Drinking
Haringey has a number of areas that are designated as controlled zones for street drinking. Police have additional powers in these areas to prevent street drinking where it causes a public nuisance or leads to antisocial behaviour.
The areas affected are listed below.
- Bounds Green ward
- Bruce Grove ward
- Harringay ward
- Noel Park ward
- Northumberland Park ward
- Seven Sisters ward
- St. Ann’s ward
- Tottenham Green ward
- Tottenham Hale ward
- West Green ward
- Woodside ward

Members of the public were consulted about the introduction of Street Drinking Controlled Zones in 2008. The results of this consultation can be also found in the attached files section.
Consultation on proposed extension
A statutory consultation on proposals to extend the existing Street Drinking Prohibited Zone in St Ann’s Ward is underway until 19 February 2010.
