Roll up your sleeves and get involved!

Events could range from clearing land of dumped rubbish, a litter-pick around a school, clearance of your street, to tackling graffiti, flyposting and dog fouling.

We’re also looking to work with schools and community groups to raise awareness about the state of our environment through street art, activities and music. The Better Haringey team will be working alongside you and providing equipment and expert help and advice.

We will also include a crackdown on the thoughtless people that spoil the environment for the rest of us, with the Better Haringey enforcement teams on the look out for litterbugs, fly-tippers and graffiti vandals.

Ideas for getting involved

You might be able to:

  • Organise volunteers to tackle an environmental issue in your area
  • Gather a group of volunteers to organise a spring clean of your street, school or local park

You might have:

  • Skills in performing arts and are willing to work with others to develop an environmental-themed play/piece of music to be performed on the street
  • A passion for the environment that you would like to share
  • A creative ability and want to work with others to produce some on-street environmental art.
