Local Government Bills

The Council, at its meeting on 15 October 2007, approved that Westminster City Council, on behalf of all London Boroughs, promote the following draft legislation through Parliament:

• The tenth London Local Authorities Bill relating to Penalty Charges, Public Health, Environmental Protection, highways, Houses in Multiple Occupation, Housing and Licensing.
• The third London Local Authorities and Transport for London Bill. This includes environmental and transport issues only.
• The London Local Authorities (Shopping Bags) Bill.

These bills set out in detail the introduction of, and amendments to, legislation in respect of the Council's activities.
