Members' Code of Conduct Complaints Process
The Standards Committee assisted by the Monitoring Officer has the responsibility for considering allegations that a member or co-opted member of Haringey Council has failed to comply with the Members' Code of Conduct.
What this means to you
If you want to complain about the conduct of an elected or co-opted member of Haringey Council, you should complete the complaints form in the attached files section and submit your complaint to:
- Bernie Ryan - Monitoring Officer
5th Floor
River Park House
225 High Road
Wood Green
N22 8HQ - Email: bernie.ryan@haringey.gov.uk
- Telephone: 020 8489 3974
Information for potential complainants, the process for complaints and and explanation of what happens to your complaint can also be found in the attached files section.
The Monitoring Officer and the Standards Committee Assessment Sub-Committee can only deal with complaints about the behaviour of a member. It will not deal with complaints about things that are not covered by the Members' Code of Conduct. If you make a complaint to the Monitoring Officer it must be about why you think a member has not followed the Code of Conduct.
The Members Code of Conduct can be found in part 5, section A of Haringey Council's Constitution or in the attached files section.
