Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) History Month 2008

Out in the Morning by Niranjan Kamatkar

Highlights of this year's events included:

Exhibition: "Out in the Morning" - photos, paintings and mixed media works by Niranjan Kamatkar and Pam Isherwood.

  • Artist, writer and filmmaker Niranjan Kamatkar has worked as one of the directors of  'Bombay Dost collective' dealing with gay men's groups in Mumbai, and was lead artist for India's premier amusement park and television group, He has more than ten years experience working with sexual minority communities in the UK, and is artistic director of Wise Thoughts. His last feature film 'Yours Emotionally!' opened in New York and San Francisco to critical acclaim, and he was also the Artistic Director of the GFest - gayWise LGBT Arts Festival held in Nov 2007 in London.
  • Pam Isherwood is a well-known lesbian feminist photographer.
