Haringey - the great place to be

Haringey is the place to be. That's the clear message from our reader survey. Thanks to everyone who sent back the postcards - we got over 300

We have sent leisure passes to the first 250 received and the winners of the shopping vouchers were:

Mrs B Edwards of Tottenham, Senay Caugoz of Harringey, Lukaz Gomulak of Alexandra Park, and Mrs Andrea Lean of Hornsey.  Their vouchers have also been sent out and we hope all the winners enjoy their prizes

Here are some of the things you said make Haringey the Place to Be:

"As a new resident to this country and borough I love the green effort, recycling facilities, parks and public transport. The people are friendly and my neighbours are absolutely wonderful."

"I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of help that is available to or for those that need some. And we do!"

"Great parks and open spaces, leisure facilities. Good cultural mix, transport links and schools. The best borough by far!"

"Great public transport, lovely people and good open spaces."

and one that we thought summed up all the responses we got really well.

"Clean, green and streets ain't mean."
