3 October - Citizenship Ceremony
The Bernie Grants Arts Centre hosted a Citizenship Ceremony. The Mayor took part together with other V.I.P guests including Councillor George Meehan (Leader of the Council), Dep. Liet. Major (retired) Rosemary Warne MBE, and a Senior Manager from Haringey PDC.

28 September - Harvest Festival Parade
The Mayor attended the 10th Anniversary celebrations of the London's Pearly Kings and Queens Costermongers' Harvest Festival. The celebrations took place at Guildhall, London.

To help mark London Peace Week, The Mayor was invited to join the Haringey Peace March. The parade started outside The Civic Centre and ended at Ducketts Common.

24 August Shanghai Blues Reception
The Mayor attended a cocktail reception, hosted by My China Page and UK China Culture Association at Shanghai Blues Restaurant. The reception was held to celebrate the success of Beijing Olympics and looking forward to the 2012 Olympics in London.

10 August - Well London Event
The Mayor attended a Well London Event at Russell Park. The aim of the event was to promote health and fitness amongst young people through sports activities and balanced diets.

28 July  - Link Event
The Mayor attended Haringey Civic Centre for the Launch of Haringey LInk.

Haringey LINk is a network of local people, organisations and groups that are interested in making sure that local health and care services meet the needs of local people.

11 July - Mayor's Fund-raising Event

The Mayor's first big fund-raising drive for his chosen charity - Different Strokes, took place at La Kera restaurant in Wood Green.

The entertainment was provided by a stand up comedian and slam poet, courtesy of Collage Arts.

£300 was raised for the Mayor's Special Fund.

6 July - London Youth Games

Councillor Dobbie met up with fellow Mayors at the London Youth Games which took place at Crystal Palace.

The Mayor watched teams representing all London boroughs including Haringey and later met some of our local athletes.

5 July - Hornsey Carnival

The Carnival takes place every year and has been taking place for about 50 years.
The procession started at the Old Racecourse Road by Alexandra Palace, before travelling through Hornsey and back to Alexandra Palace. The Mayor , pictured here with the organisers, helped judge the carnival queen competition.

29 June - Hornsey Bowling Club

Hornsey Bowling Club held their centenary celebrations on 29 June.

29 June - Veterans Day

Haringey marked Veterans Day with a march from Haringey Civic Centre to Ducketts Common. The Mayor took the salute outside Wood Green Library, before visiting the Shopping City where a number of the armed services has set up stands.

The Mayor also met veterans and representatives from the armed services at Ducketts Common.

27 June - Special Fund Presentation

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie accepted a cheque for £810.00 for his special fund, Different Strokes.
Haringey IT Services working with Environmental Mobile Control raised the money by recycling old mobile telephones.

26 June - Museum of London

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie and Mayor's Consort, Lance Chinnian, attended a drinks reception at the Museum of London.

The reception marked the responsibility for the Museum of London passing from the Department of Culture, Media and Sport to the Mayor of London and the Greater London Assembly.

21 June Tottenham Carnival

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie, pictured with members of Age Concern at the Tottenham Carnival.

The procession started from the back of Seven Sisters tube station, along Tottenham High Road and ended up in Bruce Castle Park.

20 June - London Waste

The Mayor joined neighbouring Mayors for a tour of London Waste and later was presented with a cheque for £1000 for his Special Fund.

8 June - Dragon Boat Festival

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie and his consort, Lance Chinnian, together with several other London Mayors attended a Dragon Boat event.

The event was hosted by the Hong Kong Trade Department.

6 June - Veterans Day Launch

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie was pleased to present Arthur Willmott, former Royal Green Jackets (Regimental Police Corporal) with his veterans Badge in recognition of his service.

The Mayor together with the Deputy Lieutenant of Haringey, Major (retired) Rosemary Warne, MBE also launched the Council's contribution to Veterans Day. This year Veterans Day will be commemorated in Haringey on Sunday 29 June.

7 June - Haringey Green Fair

Councillor Alan Dobbie gave his support to the Better Haringey initiative when he attended the Green Fair on 7 June. The aim of Better Haringey is to improve the local environment for residents in the borough, by making it a safer, greener and a cleaner place to live. So far £20m has been invested into the scheme which includes, amongst other things, an estates improvement Programme.

6 June - Mayors Reception

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Dobbie, invited Arthur Phillips to a reception in the Mayor's Parlour on 6 June.

The Mayor presented Mr Phillips with a certificate in appreciation of his invaluable services to the borough and community of Haringey. Mr Phillips was accompanied by his son Nick.

2 June - St Paul's Cathedral

The Mayor, Mayor's Consort (Lance Chinnian) and Mayor's Chaplain (Father Simon) attended an Evensong service at St Paul's Cathedral.

All newly-elected London Borough Mayors were invited to the service.
