Black History Month 2008
Black History Month
Connections and directions - your programme of events taking place across Haringey during October 2008.
Thanks to Linda Bellos OBE and Haringey Cllr Narendra Makanji, Black History Month has been celebrated across the UK every October since 1987. Black History Month is a time when we highlight and celebrate the achievements of the Black community and uncover hidden and concealed history about our communities.
The Haringey programme has been recognised as having the best series of events of any local authority in the country by the official BHM Magazine.
A full listing for this year can be found in the attached files section below (please note that as the full programme is nearly 4MB in size and may take some time to download, we have also split the programme into two for people using slower internet connections).
You can also search for events by date using our What's On calendar.
