Shopping
Shopaholics beware, with its exciting range of shops Haringey could well tempt you into blowing your budget, but don't worry - there are plenty of bargains to be found too!
Where to go for your shopping needs depends on what you're looking for. Wood Green, Haringey's main shopping area, boasts a long stretch of shops from Wood Green to Turnpike Lane tube, including Shopping City which spans two floors of shops, eateries and facilities as well as an indoor market hall. Highgate is known for its antiques, galleries and specialist shops. Tottenham High Road has a handy mix of large chain stores and smaller independent shops. Muswell Hill and Crouch End have a multitude of boutiques and gift shops. And Green Lanes is the place to go for exotic foods from all over the world.
The main outdoor market in the borough is the Farmer's Market which takes place at Alexandra Palace or Campsbourne School every Sunday. For more details visit the City and Country Farmers' Markets Company website (external link).
Explore, enjoy and remember to take your own shopping bag, it's better for the environment and more comfortable to carry!
