Haringey has three large multiplex cinemas, two in Wood Green and one in Muswell Hill.
Just outside the borough sits the historic independent Phoenix cinema - one of the oldest purpose-built continuously operating cinemas in the country.

Twelve screens. Located within the Shopping City complex, Cineworld Wood Green opened on 11 August 2000 and brought the big screen experience back to this area of Haringey for the first time since the former Gaumont/Odeon closed as a cinema in January 1984.

Six screens. The Vue cinema is situated opposite Wood Green tube station and features six state-of-the-art screens, providing superb picture quality and surround sound. Digital 3D has also been installed to offer an immersive movie experience with specific films.

One of 78 Art Deco cinemas in Britain designed by architect George Coles. The Odeon Muswell Hill was built in the streamline modern style of the 1930s. It opened to the public in 1936.

Senior citizens have the opportunity to meet friends for a mid-morning screening of films that reflect the best of modern and classic cinema, with a focus on story telling rather than all out action. The Phoenix Cinema is an independent cinema owned and run by a charitable trust. Quite possibly the oldest surviving purpose-built cinema in London, the Phoenix is renowned for its varied film and repertory programme, with many special and community events. This historic building with Edwardian and art deco features was built in 1910 and is now Grade II listed. Having recently benefited from Heritage Lottery Funding, the Phoenix has been restored and refitted to celebrate its centenary, offering an experience to savour.
