The second in a series of exhibitions showcasing the work of local artmakers with learning disabilities in collaboration with HAIL (Haringey Association of Independent Living) who run this new local cafe.

Using the Artscope Studio in South Tottenham, John Mitchell's artistic language is characterised by bold and colourful expression. Essentially a printmaker, Mitchell paints directly onto a silk screen with a barrier fluid or resistant material like an oil pastel, then mixes rich acrylics to print his designs. The part whimsical, part random, mark-making has become his trademark.
