Sewing room available for hire
If you are an aspiring designer looking for a local base or need space to run your sewing project, Broadwater Farm Community Centre has a sewing room available for hire. The room is available Monday – Sunday from 9am – 9pm (subject to space being available).
In August 2008 the room was kitted out with 12 new sewing machines (Toyota Piano Blacks), 2 industrial sewing machines (Brother), 2 over lockers (Brother) and 1 industrial over locker (Brother). The room space is also equipped with a cutting table, scissors, dress form etc. The room is big enough to hold a training session comfortably accommodating 20 people.

Community Consultation
Broadwater Farm Community Centre carried out a community consultation in May 2007. The consultation focused on the future use of the grounds of the Community Centre. For a brief overview of the results, see the attached files section below.
Room and Hall hire pricing
As from 1 March 2008, Broadwater Farm Community Centre has been using a new pricing structure for hall bookings. See letter from the Centre Manager in the attached files section for further details.
We have a selection of halls and rooms available for hire. Our main bookings are for our Main Hall and Jazz Cafe. Below is our new pricing structure for peak time bookings. Off peak booking prices are available at the bottom of this page in the attached files section.
Centre opening times:
- Monday - Thursday 9am - 11pm
- Friday and Saturday 9am - 2am
- Sunday 10am - 11pm
Peak Booking prices:
The price depends on whether the booking is for a private party, public event or Broadwater Farm resident or charitable organisation.

Invitation only, no ticket sales, no public advertising.*
Available Friday and Saturday 6pm - 10pm with extension up until 2am including 10% discount

*These are conditions of hire. Breach of hire conditions will result in event cancellation, and/or the withholding of surety and legal action to reclaim any outstanding fees. Where an event is cancelled through breach of hire conditions, the hire fee will be non-refundable.
