Free Wireless Hotspots @ Haringey Libraries
Wireless means more freedom
All Haringey Libraries are wireless (WiFi) hotspots to allow users to bring in their own laptop and surf the internet for free, using a fast and reliable wireless broadband.
You can find out more about how to connect and troubleshooting help below or from the attached files section towards the bottom of this page.
How to use wireless internet
- What you need
You will need a laptop that can connect to a wireless network. Other WiFi capable devices such as PDAs and iPhones are also supported. - Get connected
Ensure that you have connected to the appropriate WiFi network (for instance, “WoodGreenLibrary” or “HornseyLibrary”). This is an unsecured signal and no wireless network key is needed. - Launch browser
Launch your browser and you will be automatically directed to the WiFi home page. If this does not happen, try typing a web address in the address bar - Log in
If you already have an account, input your username and password. New users should follow the link “Free Registration” and fill in the online form, where you can create a username and password. Happy browsing!
Troubleshooting
An information sheet is available below, which gives further instructions on how to configure your wireless network, answers common problems and provides a telephone helpline.
