'Make A Change' - Get Moving Week (25 - 31 January 2010)
Did you feel like you ate too much over the festive holiday or are you struggling to start your new year's resolution of getting more active? Then 'Get Moving Week' is the ideal time to start with Haringey's Leisure Centres once again offering adults (16 years plus) the opportunity to try out some of the many exercise classes for free!
'Get Moving Week' will run for one week from Monday 25 January - Sunday 31 January. All you have to do is complete the voucher form and hand one in to a member of the reception team for each exciting classes you would like to try. A voucher is available in the attached files section.
Classes included range from energising Zumba Fitness, Spinning, Aqua Fitness, Capoiera, Belly Dancing, Brazilian and Caribbean Rhythyms. For those looking for a more holistic approach to exercise then there is Pilates, Tai Chi, Iyenga and Hatha Yoga. A timetable of the classes is available in the attached files section with information on which centre is hosting the classes.
Group exercise classes

Tottenham Green hosts a wide range of classes and many new classes have been introduced over the recent months in our Active Studio including the Latin based Zumba Fitness, Brazilian Rhythms, Tai Chi and Belly Dancing.
If you are a fitness fan who likes to drive themselves to their limit we have classes like Circuit Training and Spinning or if you prefer the more holistic approach to exercise we have Lyengar and Hatha Yoga as well as Pilates for all levels.
For those who are just getting back into to exercise from a long absence we have gentle introductory classes such as Back to Exercise and Chair Based Exercise classes.

Junior gymnastics (5 - 10 years)
This is an introduction to gymnastic exercise for 5 - 10 year olds. Lessons last 55 minutes long. Using mats and apparatus, children are taught posture, walking, run-ups and basic tumbling (forward and backward rolls).
The syllabus is subject to the age and ability of each class. The instructor will cater for and target classes to individuals within the group structure according to their ability and progress.
Badges and certificates can be earned and are included in the price of the course.
Junior trampoline (5 - 15 years)
Learn how to trampoline in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere under the guidance of experienced, qualified coaches. Trampolining has a wide range of benefits (e.g. improved co-ordination, stamina and muscle-tone), but most of all it is fun.

- How to bounce
- Seat drops, back drops
- Front drops and combinations
- Somersaults (subject to availability)
