There will be a temporary reception area for customers to purchase activity tickets, make enquiries and bookings. |Back to topNew Male-Only swim sessions

Following customer suggestions and meetings with community groups the centre is pleased to announce it will be starting a 12 week trial of men-only swim sessions. These sessions will be run on Mondays and Wednesdays from 9.05pm to 10pm beginning on 25 January 2010 in the Main Pool. The Sauna and Steam rooms will be run as male-only sessions at these times too.
It is hoped these new sessions will help to offer greater opportunity for community groups which may have been unable to attend the current mixed sessions.
For women-only swim sessions see the teaching pool opening times in the attached files section below.
|Back to topNew pool filter installation (October 2009 - February 2010)
Starting from October 2009 and continuing until the middle of February 2010 the centre will be having its old water filters removed and new state of the art Defender units installed, the first of their type anywhere in the country!
During this period the swimming pools will be open as usual but there is an increased risk that at some time during the project the pool may need to close at short notice. Any disruption will be kept to minimum and the centre would like to apologise if any inconvenience is caused during this period.
Once the new filters have been installed we look forward to swimmers enjoying even higher standards of water quality. Mr Guido Doyer - Technical Manager said,
"The installation of Defender filters will be able to offer swimmers water quality comparable to that found in a pristine fresh water lake or river. The filtered water quality is so great that it will be cleaner than drinking water!"
If you would like to know more on the progress during these works then please speak to Mr Guido Doyer - Technical Manager overseeing the works on 020 8489 5334. Customers wishing to know more about Defender filters can visit the Defender filters website via the external links section below.
