Haringey Celebrating Sport Awards

The 5th Haringey Celebrating Sport Awards 2011 took place at Tottenham Hotspur FC on Thursday 24 November. This prestigious and uplifting event attracts a large audience and is held annually. The event serves to showcase the huge sporting talent in the borough as well as acknowledge and thank all those hard working volunteers, sports organisations and clubs that do so much to ensure the success of the borough’s sports performers.

There were nominations for categories at both adult and junior level including:

• Sports Performer of the Year
• Coach of the Year
• Disabled Sports Performer of the Year
• Club of the Year
• Volunteer of the Year
• Outstanding Contribution to Sport

Generous sponsorship and support for the event was received from Tottenham Hotspur FC, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Pro Active North London, Haringey Sports Development Trust and Everyone’s a Winner magazine.
