Park Road Pools opening times

Opening times for the Main and Small pools can be found below, or for more information please phone our reception on 020 8341 3567. There is also a leaflet available for download from our attached files section at the bottom of this page.

The leaflet includes details of when the pools are available for casual and lane swimming, the swimming club, women only swimming, and when they are being used by schools.

Swimming Gala - Closures

Park Road Leisure Centre plays host to a number of competitive swimming competitions throughout the year for various organisations and clubs. Normal pool opening hours are unfortunately affected by this when these are held so please find a list of all confirmed scheduled swimming galas through the year to help plan your visit to the centre on our Gala Timetable page.

Main Pool

(Including the Diving Pool)

This pool measures 25 x 12.5m. Providing areas for lane swimming, lessons and casual use:

Monday to Friday: 7am - 9.30pm
Saturday 7.15am - 5pm
Sunday: 7.15am - 6.30pm (Women Only from 5pm - 6.30pm)

Diving Pool

The pool measures 11.5 x 10.5m. The diving stage consists of a three metre spring board and two one metre spring boards.

Note: The diving pool is available from 7am (Monday - Friday) and 7.15am (Saturday - Sunday) but will close at times for class and lesson usage occasionally. Please call 020 8341 3567 to check availability of this facility if you planning a journey to the centre specifically for this pool.

Teaching Pool

A small, warm, sloping-floored pool, ideal for very small children. Equipped with viewing gallery.

Note: The Teaching Pool is only available for public use at certain times of the day due to swimming lesson usage.

Half-Term Teaching Pool opening times

During the half-term school holidays (Monday 15 February - Friday 19 February 2010) the small Teaching Pool will be open at the following times.

Monday - Friday
7am - 8.30am, 10.15am - 2.30pm, 4pm - 7pm

Saturday - Sunday
7.15am - 7.30pm

Steam and Sauna

This area is for anyone aged 16 or over and located on the main poolside. It is available at the following times:

Mixed sessions

Monday: 7am - 7pm
Tuesdays: 7am - 9pm
Wednesdays: 7pm - 8pm
Thursdays: 7am - 9pm
Fridays: 7am - 1pm and 3pm - 9pm
Saturdays: 7.15am - 7pm
Sundays: 7.15am - 5pm.

Women Only sessions

Customers are advised that the following women only sessions may at times be staffed by male lifeguards and that swimmers are visible from the Active Gym which overlooks the main pool.

For customers that require women only sessions for religious reasons we recommend these customers try Tottenham Green Leisure Centre, which has secluded women only sessions with female only staff and direct access from the womens changing room.

Park Road sessions are as follows:

Wednesdays: 8pm - 9.30pm
Fridays: 1pm - 3pm (except during school holidays)
Sundays: 5pm - 6.30pm

Lido (Outdoor Pool)

The outdoor Lido is open between May to October each year, open on weekends 7am - 8pm and we run session times during the holidays.

The Lido features:

a large open-air heated pool (heated to between 17 and 20 degrees celcius, depending on weather conditions)
a children's pool and fountain edged by grass sunbathing areas slopes
Diving areas for safe practice and fun.
Poolside cafeteria

Please note that tickets are available up to 30 minutes before the closing times.

Lido (New season starts in May 2010

The lido is a 50 metre open-air heated pool (heated between 17 and 20 degrees celcius, depending on weather conditions).

Swimathon 2010

Park Road Leisure Centre are pleased to host the world's biggest fundraising swim again. Swimathon helps to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Swimmers can choose challenges of swimming 1500 metres, 2500 metres or 5000 metres and complete them as individuals or enter as a team for the 5000 metre challenge. The whole of the main pool has been dedicated solely for Swimathon participants during the sessions listed below :

Friday 16 April from 7.30pm
Saturday 17 April from 3.30pm
Sunday 18 April from 1.00pm

To enter just click on the Swimathon link below, choose your session and enter the code on the online form. Take the Plunge!
