Active For Life

‘Active for Life’ is a partnership between Haringey Teaching Primary Care Trust and Haringey’s Sports and Leisure Service and is a Neighbourhood Renewal Funded project designed to help inactive people to become more physically active. If you live in Noel Park, Bruce Grove or Northumberland Park and have any of the following conditions, you may be eligible for the scheme.

• diabetes
• high blood pressure
• high cholesterol
• very overweight
• stroke
• heart disease

Becoming more active can help to:

• reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke
• prevent and manage blood pressure
• keep you mobile
• reduce stress and anxiety
• keep your muscles and bones strong and healthy
• improve your energy levels
• prevent weight gain and aid weight loss
• prevent and manage high cholesterol

Public Forums

Have your say...

As part of Haringey's Sports and Leisure Service's commitment to communicate with its users more effectively, we are hosting a series of customer, partner and user forums throughout the year; where users will be able to attend an informal but open meeting with key managers and their operations team. You will hear about improvement plans and scheduled works.

If you want to raise an issue or voice your opinion on any matter personal or programme related (including maintenance, marketing and health and fitness) or to hear what Haringey Sports and Leisure Services are doing in the future, then come along to your local forum.

Price Restructure Review

These meetings are an opportunity to give us your views on how the recent membership and price restructure can further assist groups, partners and hirers in agreeing new policies around group pricing.
