Haringey Strategic Partnership (HSP)

Haringey Strategic Partnership (HSP)

Who are we?

The HSP is the Local Strategic Partnership for the borough. Created in 2002, its primary purpose is to bring together the main public service agencies, voluntary and community, and private sectors to work together to improve the quality of life for all who live, work in, and visit Haringey.

The membership of the HSP can be found here.

Our Vision

Our vision is to be ‘a place for diverse communities that people are proud to belong to’.

How we will achieve our vision

Haringey’s Sustainable Community Strategy sets out the long-term vision for and ambitions for the borough. It is the overarching HSP strategy based on the things residents told us matters to them and what we know about Haringey. It takes account of the key challenges and opportunities facing the borough and is centred on six key outcomes that the HSP wants to to achieve.

These are:

  • People at the heart of change
  • An environmentally sustainable future
  • Economic vitality and prosperity shared by all
  • Safer for all
  • Healthier people with a better quality of life
  • People and customer focused

The HSP has also agreed the Local Area Agreement (LAA) which is a substantial part of the delivery mechanism for the Community Strategy. The LAA is an agreement with Central Government that sets out our priority areas for 2009-2011. It focuses on some of the most pressing issues for Haringey such as unemployment, poor housing, health inequalities and low educational achievement.
