79 percent of respondents who use a Haringey park feel very safe or safe when doing so - as shown in the safety graph in the attached files section below. Those who feel very safe has risen by 2 percent in the last year and 5 percent since 2006.

This is very positive particularly when noted that two thirds of respondents to the survey are women.

The high population of female users can also be explained by results indicated that the second most popular reason for visiting a park was to take children to play. From this, one can deduce that play areas in parks are an important community asset to be developed and made secure.
