Markfield Park

Recent improvements carried out to Markfield Park are now complete.

Markfield Park PlaygroundThe new playground and café have been constructed and drainage works to the Old Moselle Brook in the park are complete.

The playground is now fully open. The café still needs some work done on its external landscaping and a tenant identified, before it can open.

Phase 2 of the improvement works to the Park will begin in September, with the implementation of the landscaping masterplan, drainage works to the main field and the refurbishment of the pavilion and the Markfield Museum.

All the improvements to Markfield Park are due to be completed by June 2009.

Fun Day

A Markfield Park Community Fun Day organised by the Council, the Friends of Markfield Park and conservation charity BTCV will be held on Sunday 7 September, between 12 and 4pm. The day is free and open to all and the designs for the rest of the works within the Park will be available to view.
