Situated near Tottenham Hale station, local residents and sports groups regularly use the park. It's also an attractive cut through for commuters using the station.

Friends group

The volunteer group, Friends of Down Lane Park, campaign for park improvements.

Living Under One Sun (LUOS) café and community hub

The café and community hub are managed by the local charity, LUOS. 

LUOS organise a range of activities including yoga and a walking group.

They also welcome volunteers to help support the work of their small, dedicated team.

Green Flag Award 

Down Lane Park first won a green flag Award in 2014, has retained it ever since.

History

The land where the park now sits was known as Lammas land. The council purchased it in 1900.

On 11 May 1907, the wife of the then Chairman of the Council, Mrs Garland, officially opened the park. It was first called Down Fields, and later changed to Down Lane.
