In Bloom

The Haringey in Bloom competition has been going for many years and is a regular on many residents' and businesses' horticultural calendars.

The competition recognises the efforts of individuals, businesses and community groups for brightening up their local community through gardening and horticultural efforts.

Haringey in Bloom is run in parallel with London in Bloom and finalists contribute towards the borough’s submission to the London in Bloom competition and play a significant part in the overall judging.

In 2010 and 2006 Haringey was awarded a Silver Gilt. In 2003 the borough was given the Most Improved Borough award and a Silver award was given in 2007, 2008 and 2009. This is all due to local residents, schools, businesses, community and voluntary groups taking pride in the borough where they live, study and work.

Unfortunately Haringey in Bloom didn't take place in 2011 but we're hopeful the competition will return in 2012, so watch this space!
