Parks and Open Spaces Small Grants Scheme
The Parks and Open Spaces Small Grants Scheme offers community groups the opportunity to bid for funding of up to £1,000 to support and develop community activity to help meet the council's aims and priorities for improving the borough's parks and open spaces.
This could happen in a number of ways including physical improvements or by increasing awareness and usage of parks and open spaces. Open spaces could include parks, recreation grounds, nature reserves, community gardens, small areas of land on streets known as 'pocket parks' and land not managed by the council but which benefits Haringey's communities through open space provision.
There are four priority themes available to bid under:
| Grant themes | Total money available |
|---|---|
| Theme 1 Pre-agreed actions from management plans/aims and aspirations | £12,000 |
| Theme 2 Capacity development | £4,000 |
| Theme 3 Jubilee in Bloom - Neighbourhood garden award | £3,000 |
| Theme 4 QEII Fields in Trust | £2,000 |
Guidelines of the grant scheme can be found in the attached files section, together with an application form.
Apart from Theme 3 - Jubilee in Bloom - all bids need to be received by 12noon, 23 April 2012.
