Appeals

You can appeal against any decision to refuse your child a place at one of your preferred schools. In response to your application you will have been sent a letter explaining why you have not been offered a place and this will outline your right of appeal.

You should be given at least 14 days from the date of the notification letter to the date you have to submit your appeal.

If you wish to appeal for a place at a voluntary-aided primary or secondary school in Haringey, Greig City Academy, Fortismere School or any other school outside the borough you must approach the school directly for details and take careful note of any deadlines.

Lodging an Appeal

If at any time you are refused a place in writing at a Haringey community primary or secondary school or St Adian’s voluntary controlled school you have the right to appeal. Use the forms in the attached files section below to lodge your appeal. Read the information below carefully to ensure you appeal using the correct form.

  • Use casual appeal form KS1 standard (see attached files section below) if you are appealing for a place at any other Haringey maintained primary schools or St Adrian's voluntary controlled school in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2.
  • Use casual appeal form KS2 (see attached files section below) if you wish to appeal for a place in Year 3 up to Year 11.
