School Place Planning Report

School place planning ensures that there are enough school places in the correct area for parents to access them. We also provide annual reports containing information on primary, secondary and special schools.

The full 2009 school place planning report is available in the attached files section below.

This is the sixth comprehensive annual report containing information on primary, secondary and special schools.

Projections for the next ten years are provided for the 14 planning areas in the borough.

School place demand is affected by a range of factors

  • birth rates and population movements
  • school standards
  • popularity of schools
  • location
  • mobility
  • and new housing development
