Building Schools for the Future (BSF) at Park View
This £14m project was completed in September 2010. Today students and staff improve academic achievement and have an environment that students can thrive in as part of the Building Schools for the Future programme.

"Everyone is delighted with the outcome of the BSF project. We look forward to using these new facilities to drive results and all other outcomes for students even higher."
Headteacher Alex Atherton

Facilities at the school have been transformed.
One of the main features of the project is the school’s new 'heart space' connecting two major parts of the school. The glass roofed, double height atrium space links the improved dining and hall areas. These can be partitioned off or opened up to create an adaptable space. The new space also offers new points of access to classrooms and the rest of the school site.
Other improvements include

- A refurbished Learning Resource Centre, science labs, design technology, and inclusion areas.
- The school’s specialism in performing arts and languages is being supported by new drama spaces.
- New dining facilities, featuring a new kitchen and dining room, and the school also has a new catering supplier.
- New food technology spaces.
- Improved ICT throughout with new computers and technology throughout, as well as enhanced English and Maths spaces.
