BSF Library - Essential documents

The Council has explained how it will make of the most of the opportunity to transform teaching and learning in local schools in a series of documents. The business case for the programme is explained and the Council states key aims and goals for BSF in Haringey.

Information contained within this page and its associated documents relates to Department for Children Schools and Families (DCSF). From May 2010, this became the remit of Department for Education (DfE). As a result the content on this page may not reflect current Government policy.

Strategic Business Case (SBC)

The Strategic Business case (SBC) was submitted by us in 2005 to the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF) in support of the authority's funding allocation under the Government's BSF Programme.

This document is complemented by a more detailed document called the Outline Business Case (OBC). This explains plans for the programme as a whole and for individual schools. The SBC is a summary of the Council's Education Vision, our secondary strategy, the current school position in Haringey and the prioritising of Haringey schools under BSF.

The SBC Executive Summary can be found in the attached files section below.

Outline Business Case (OBC)

The Outline Business Case (OBC) was submitted to the DCSF in Autumn 2006, and following this submission in 2009, the DCSF agreed funding for the BSF Programme in Haringey.

Final Business Case (FBC)

The Council submitted a Final Business Case (FBC) to DCSF. This summarises the history of the programme, including any changes from what was approved in the outline business case, and sets out the proposed contractual arrangements. Approval of the FBC was given by the DCSF and this effectively provides final approval of the funding needed to achieve the programme's aims.
