Highgate Wood School

Building Schools for the Future (BSF) at Highgate Wood School

The school has a clear vision for the future to further develop as a community school and continue to strive for higher standards and achievement.

Key features of this project are:

  • a new library creating a larger learning resource centre
  • an outdoor stage to support performing arts at the school
  • new classrooms
  • a mezzanine to provide more space for media studies

The Architect for the school is Watkins Gray International. The Contractor is Breyer Group. Find out more in Meet the Contractors.

This scheme was granted planning permission in June 2008.

The project went on site in March 2009.

Completion Date: February 2010.

Handover to school team: March 2010.

Environmental information

The programme at Highgate Wood School aims to achieve an independent environmental rating (BREEAM) of 'Very Good'.
