Business and Partnerships
Schools for the Future
Local authorities across the country face real challenges in trying to use limited finances to achieve as much as possible for their communities.
Haringey BSF, the council and its partners have worked tirelessly to find the best design solutions for its students. Despite this clear responsibility to achieve the best for our young people – we have also ensured that each of our projects has been cost effective. This has been made possible through a systematic process of:
- design reviews
- budget monitoring
- carefully managed contingency funds
- a rigorous variation control process (to consider where and when extra funds are allocated to support projects)
We have successfully turned our educational vision for our schools into reality. There are a number of our remodelling projects that stand out as real exemplars of how teaching and learning environments can be transformed on relatively modest budgets.
You can read case studies on value for money at the Octagon, Highgate Wood and John Loughborough schools on their project pages.
