- Building Schools for the Future (BSF)

BSF is a new approach by the Government to investment in school buildings. It is intended to ensure all secondary schools have 21st century facilities within 10-15 years through a programme of renewal, renovation and new building.

A Strategy for Haringey’s Young People 11-19. Our overriding vision is for all children and young people in Haringey to be happy, healthy and safe with a bright future.

- Budget Statement

Section 52 of the School Standards and Framework Act 1998 requires Local Education authorities to prepare a budget statement in advance of each financial year.

- School records

School records for an individual pupil including School Log, Admission Registers, Pupil Record cards or printouts and Class registers.

- Networked Learning Communities (NLC)

NLC are designed to take advantage and celebrate the diversity which exists within our education system.

- Pendarren Education Centre

Pendarren House Outdoor Education Centre stands on the southern slopes of the Black Mountains overlooking the Grwyne Fawr valley within the Brecon Beacons National Park. The park covers an area of 520 square miles and includes the Black Mountains and the Brecon Beacons. It offers opportunities for a wide range of adventurous outdoor activities

- Paid work or work experience and school aged pupils

Work experience helps students gain employment by learning about work in a "real life" situation. We are working in partnership with Haringey Education Business Partnership to give local Year 10 students an opportunity to have a work placement at the Council.

- Schools Library Service (SLS)

The SLS took part in the first national PLUS survey for School Library Services organised by the Institute of Public Finance (IPF) in 2004. Questionnaires were distributed to Headteachers and Literacy Co-ordinators in all primary schools, both users and non-users. Fifty-four of the sixty-six primary schools replied.

- Well-Being Programme

The Well-Being Programme addresses well-being issues at a whole school level, setting preventative measures in place, rather than responding to symptoms.
