The future of teaching and learning on Broadwater Farm

Broadwater Farm Primary School, along with William C Harvey and Moselle Special Schools, and the Children’s Centre are to become part of a new educational building. It is anticipated that this modern facility will open in 2012 / 2013. The building is sometimes described as an 'inclusive learning campus'; this is because it will bring together children with different educational needs.
|Back to topAbout the new campus
The new campus will feature:
- A special school formed by the primary school departments of William C Harvey and Moselle special schools
- A two-form entry primary school (a two-form of entry school has two classes in each year)
- Broadwater Farm Children’s Centre
New ways of teaching, and modern technology will help to get children to experience more personalised learning.
These new facilities will also help pupils to achieve higher educational standards.
Design ideas showing what the campus could look like are being developed through discussions and conversations with the schools and their governors, staff, students, parents and other stakeholders.
It is intended that this new facility, along with other local services, will also benefit the whole community providing activities and services for local people of all ages. This might include breakfast clubs, homework clubs, all year-round childcare for children from 0 to 11, parenting support, employment, housing and benefit advice and new sports facilities.
The inclusive learning campus will be built on or close to the current location of Broadwater Farm Primary School in Tottenham.
This project is part of Haringey's primary and pre-school programme. You can find out more about Haringey's ideas for the future (vision) of primary education in the Primary Strategy for Change document.

Community Information Day 19 March
An information day, on Friday 19 March, will use 3-D technology to give local people, parents and pupils a clearer picture of the new Inclusive Learning Campus and an insight into how the classrooms, corridors and playspaces inside the campus will look.
Staff from the schools and the council will be on hand at the event to help explain how the new facilities will support teaching and learning in the area.
The event takes place from 3.30pm to 7pm at Broadwater Farm Primary School, in the Infant Hall, Moira Close, Tottenham N17.
