Primary and Pre-school Programme

Haringey Council is improving educational opportunities for young people aged 0 to 11 through the Primary and Pre-school Programme. The programme includes a number of projects to transform:

  • Primary Schools
  • Early Years Services
  • Children’s Centres
  • Play and Extended School Services (for example breakfast clubs, homework clubs, childcare or parenting support).

Primary Capital Programme

Haringey Council has received confirmation from the Department for Children Families and Schools (DCFS) that its primary capital programme has been approved. This means that there will be funding to help support improvements to Haringey primary schools.

Primary Stategy for Change

Our Primary Strategy for Change document is helping to inform the way in which we will use funding from the primary capital programme to support teaching and learning at primary schools and ensure that schools are at the heart of their communities.

The document sets out the future for primary school children in Haringey over the next 12 years and also explains our objectives for primary education in the borough. In order to get this document ready we asked children how they thought we could help to improve their schools and incorporated some of their ideas.
