International Women's Day
Celebrating International Women’s Day in Haringey – Saturday 10 March
Saturday 10 March 2012 is Haringey Council's annual free event to celebrate International Women’s Day. The doors open at 1pm and the event will finish by 5pm. The event is being held at the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London (CHENEL), Tottenham High Road, N15 4RU.
As always the highlight of the day is the presentation of the annual Haringey Unsung Women's awards. This year over 40 local women will receive an Unsung Women's award in recognition of the vital role they play in the community.
Haringey Foodbank will also be at the event and would be delighted to receive jars and tins of food which will then be distributed to individuals and families in crisis in Haringey.
The event is organised by Haringey Women’s Forum, Haringey Council, local women’s groups and CHENEL.
