Jerome

Jerome is a child of African Caribbean / Jamaican heritage.

He is an engaging and friendly boy who enjoys playing with cars and trains. He also likes his TV programmes such as Tom and Jerry and the Simpsons. Jerome is popular at school and enjoys looking at books and being read to.

He has formed a positive relationship with his carers and their sons and he is a big part of their family. Jerome is described by his foster carers as a sociable, happy child. He is an endearing child who is full of smiles. He eats a varied diet and sleeps well through the night.

Jerome has a speech and language delay for which he is receiving extra support. He is confident in asking adults for help and is now using language well to negotiate with his peers. He is able to follow instructions and has active listening skills.

Family needed

Long Term Foster Carers with good support networks who can offer Jerome a permanent home to meet his long term needs. The family should also be willing to facilitate some direct contact between Jerome and his sister. Jerome will benefit from a placement where he is the youngest child.
