Isaac and Malachi

These siblings are both of African/Caribbean heritage. They are currently placed with the same foster carer. They have developed a positive relationship with their carer and benefit from consistency and routine. Both boys are described as sociable, sensitive, thoughtful and of a caring nature. They are in good health and meeting all their developmental milestones. Both have appropriate self care but still need guidance and encouragement. They are established in their routines and sleep well, enjoy most foods; however Malachi is described a finicky eater.

  • Isaac is a friendly, easygoing boy who likes having the freedom to explore his environment. He is an active, athletic child who loves outdoors activities. He enjoys running, football, basketball, gymnastics and swimming. He recently gained his first swimming certificate. He loves to dance and sing. He has good self-care skills and takes pride in his appearance.
  • Malachi is described as a polite, lively and bright with a good sense of humour. He has a good imagination and loves outdoor activities, including walking, playing in the garden, park or playground and weekly swimming sessions. Indoors he likes playing with toys, drawing, colouring, reading and writing, watching TV and is happy in the kitchen helping his carer to prepare meals.

Family needed: Malachi and Isaac need a black one or two-parent adoptive family who can reflect or actively develop their racial and cultural identify, where Malachi & Isaac are the youngest.

Contact: A family who could facilitateannual direct contact with sister and birth mother would be particularly welcomed or would be desirable but not an essential requirement.
