Children's Network

What are Children’s Networks?

Children’s Networks are geographical areas which form the basis for the planning and delivery of services to children, young people and their families in Haringey. There are three Children’s Networks, covering the west, north and south of the borough as set out in the map below. The Children’s Networks are co-terminus with ward boundaries (see Network Areas below).

Establishing the Children’s Networks has enabled the Council and partners to take a high level, strategic approach to assessing and understanding the needs of the community in the different parts of the borough, and to planning services accordingly. Increasingly, services that work with children and young people are configured on a network basis, and a number of staff are now co-located in multi-disciplinary teams.

The Children’s Networks are Haringey’s vehicle for delivering Every Child Matters and Integrated Working, and information on initiatives including Common Assessment Framework (CAF), the Lead Professional, and ContactPoint can be found in these pages.
