Rhodes Avenue Primary School

Rhodes Avenue expansion
Rhodes Avenue Primary School is changing. The school is being modernised and expanded, so that eventually, there will be three classes in each year, with around 30 children in each class. This is known as three forms of entry.
Why expand Rhodes Avenue?
We are increasing the number of pupils able to attend Rhodes Avenue Primary School because demand for places in and around the Alexandra ward remains high and projections overall for Haringey show a continuing rise in primary pupil numbers. The council is working with local schools to help ensure that there are sufficient primary school places to meet demand.

The project has already created an impressive new boulevard entrance for all pupils, parents, staff and visitors. The entrance provides a secure route into the school and has been designed to support learning and play.
The area to the rear of the year 6 block has been transformed, providing additional habitat space for play and teaching, while the pond space around the Quad has been made safe.
The school has much to look forward to - with work shortly taking place to create 12 modern classrooms, and library and office space. You can find out more about the project in the attached files section.
The Rhodes Avenue project is part of our Primary and Pre-School programme which aims to improve educational opportunities for children aged from 0 to 11 years.
