Public Sector Buying Organisations (PSBOs)

These are organisations who let contracts through a formal tendering process that can then be accessed by all local authorities.

Examples of Public Sector Buying Organisations include:

  • London Contracts and Supplies Group (LCSG)
  • Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO)
  • Central Buying Consortium (CBC)
  • Buying Solutions

Once contracts have been awarded, they will be monitored and reviewed to ensure that best value is maintained. Output performance and quality will be monitored to ensure that the goods are fit for purpose and that levels of service are maintained.

There are a number of organisations that exist to provide advice and support to businesses.

Trade Local

Haringey Council maintains a Trade Local database. This database consists of businesses based in Haringey that are willing to supply goods or services to the public sector. These businesses will be kept informed of future contracts and procurement opportunities. Email: tradelocal@haringey.gov.uk

You can use our new online form to join the Trade Local Database.

Haringey Council provides a number of workbooks to help businesses complete the Pre Qualification Questionnaire, which forms part of many tendering processes. Please see the attached files section below.
