Consumer Protection laws
We enforce and advise on a wide range of legislation, which covers:
- Fair trading malpractices
- Safety of goods
- Misleading prices
- Counterfeit goods
- False claims on goods and services
- Weighing and measuring of goods
Consumer Direct
In addition to the services provided by Haringey Trading Standards, the Government funded 'Consumer Direct' telephone helpline provides help and advice for consumers in Great Britain and also provides advice by email.
