We enforce a wide range of legislation, which covers:

Citizens Advice consumer service (formerly Consumer Direct)
Consumer Direct is now the Citizens Advice consumer service.
In April 2012 Consumer Direct's phone and web advice service was replaced by the Citizens Advice consumer service. This development is part of a wider programme of change for the Citizens Advice Service.
The new consumer service continues to develop partnerships already in place and enable links into the wider Citizens Advice Service with its trusted brand and local presence and builds on the excellent work of OFT in running Consumer Direct.
The Citizens Advice consumer service advises clients on general consumer law, industry-specific rules and rights for the energy and postal sectors, and on specific cases. They have kept the same contact numbers to provide continuity for callers.
How to access the Citizens Advice consumer service
To use the Citizens Advice Consumer Service call 08454 040506 or visit the Advice Guide website (external link)
The service is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
