Motor Salvaging Vehicle Licensing

Under the Vehicles (Crime) Act 2001 and Motor Salvaging Regulations 2002, a person, including a corporate body, who carries on a business as a motor salvage operator in the London Borough of Haringey, is required to register with the Council.

For these purposes a person is defined as someone who carries on business as a motor salvage operator if he or she carries on a business which consists:

wholly or partly in the recovery for re-use or sale of salvageable parts from motor vehicles and the subsequent sale or other disposal for scrap of the remainder of the vehicle concerned;
wholly or mainly in the purchase of written off vehicles and their subsequent repair and resale.

We cannot accept liability if payment is refused or declined by the card supplier.
If the card supplier declines payment, the Council is under no obligation to bring this fact to the customer's attention.
Customers should check with their card supplier to ensure that payment has been deducted from their relevant account.
Due to end of day processing, this service will not be available between 10pm and 11pm every weekday evening (Mon- Fri).
Users should note that any payments in process after the 10pm deadline need to be completed by 10.05pm.
