It was a night when Haringey came together to show its appreciation for those businesses which have done most to serve the community over the last 12 months.

More than 400 business representatives, residents and politicians gathered on 8 March at the Decorium in Wood Green for the awards, staged by Haringey Council and co-sponsored by North London Ltd and Collage Arts.

Among the winners were a fashion company, a forklift truck supplier and an Arabic tuition centre.

Leader of the Council, Cllr George Meehan, introduced the awards. He said:

“These awards are a clear demonstration of Haringey’s growing reputation as a great place to do business.

“We as a Council are committed to doing all we can to support our local businesses. The Haringey City Growth Business Awards are our way of thanking them for the huge contribution they make to this borough.”

Residents and companies submitted more than 400 nominations for the awards, which are now in their second year.
