Haringey Jobs Fund
High and increasing unemployment is one of the greatest challenges facing Haringey. Following the riots in the summer of 2011, it is more important than ever that we do all we can to maximise opportunities for local people.
As a significant employer, you can help. We realise that today’s difficult economic times have affected business confidence, and your capacity to create additional jobs may be limited. However, we believe that by working together in partnership with you we can make a difference.
What we can offer
It is for this reason that we have launched a new £3.6m employment programme, Jobs for Haringey that includes the Haringey Jobs Fund - an offer of financial subsidy to support you to create jobs for local unemployed people.
For each new job that you create, the Council will contribute up to £4,000 towards the cost of that job for up to one year.
Employers who wish to create jobs will have the offer of a subsidised training package, up to NVQ Levels 2 and 3, provided by the College of Haringey, Enfield and North East London and the Haringey Adult Learning Service.
Free recruitment support will be made available to employers creating jobs from a network of Haringey Council approved providers.
Applications
Businesses can access the subsidy through application only and Round 1 of the application process is now closed. Further application rounds will be announced on this page in due course.
