It can be tough to both start and run a business in London. The Business Lounge, provided by Haringey Libraries can offer the information and inspiration to help start your business or plan for growth.
The Business Lounge is free to use and suitably located in the heart of Haringey.
We may be able to help to:
- Research your product and its feasibility
- Develop business plans
- Understand key financial and legal issues
Business Advice and Support
Our business adviser draws upon years of direct, frontline experience across a wide range of industry sectors to give you the information you need to research the market and develop your ideas, especially your business plan.
It is essential to have a clear understanding of your market and focus on exactly what is unique about your business. Having a good business plan is essential when approaching banks and potential investors. And even if you are already in business, your plan should change as new goals are set or face new challenges.
The Business Lounge is also equipped with the latest online Business and Market Intelligence so you can do essential market research to analyse products and competition within the UK markets. We also offer a whole range of training seminars that can help your business needs.
Our business support services also include:

- Meeting room hire (through the libraries room booking service)

To use The Business Lounge, you will need to become a member. Anyone trading in and outside of Haringey is welcome to join and registration can be done in three easy steps:
- Bring in two original forms of identity: one showing your proof of address (for instance, utility bill or bank statement), and another with proof of signature (e.g. passport or bank card).
- Fill out a form which is available to download from the attached files section below or pick up one at Wood Green Central Library.
- Simply hand in and start using the facility.
