Haringey Emergency Alert Service

Have you ever been involved in an emergency or had your routine disrupted by an emergency and wished you’d had a bit more warning about it?

Yes? Then sign up to Haringey’s Emergency Alert Service.

What is the Haringey Emergency Alerts Service?

The purpose of this service is to inform residents, commuters and businesses of incidents that may be occurring in the borough, which may be causing significant disruption. They will be informed through one or more of the following:

  • text message to a mobile
  • message to an email address.

What will I be warned about?

You will receive messages about emergencies that are of a significant nature and causing severe disruption to your ward or to the borough as a whole. For example – extreme weather and flooding.

How often will I receive messages?

The frequency of messages cannot be predicted as the nature of emergencies themselves are unpredictable. We can assure you though that messages will only be sent when a significant emergency causes severe disruption to your area or the borough as a whole.
