Wolves Lane Horticultural and Garden Centre is open 7 days a week and set within a three and a half acre growing site with a great variety of services and activities on offer. It is a great place to visit with all the family and there are training and volunteering opportunities available to adults with an interest in plants and horticulture and is an established visitor centre playing host to both schools and the public.
The Garden Centre
- Monday to Saturday - 9am-5pm
- Sunday 10am-4pm
The Green Pepper Cafe
The centre has its own cafe which is open as follows:
- Monday to Friday: 8.30am-3pm
- Saturday: 9am-2pm (During Summer)
- Sunday: Closed
Offering breakfasts until 12.30pm and then a varied and home cooked menu including vegetarian and children's meals and simple offerings such as soups, jacket potatoes, freshly made sandwiches and a selection of home made cakes and juices.
Wolves Lane is available for hire and is suitable for both children's parties, seminars and conferences with the option of catering.
The centre has a good variety of small animals including Rabbits, Guinea Pigs, Ducks, Chickens, Birds, Fish and Terrapins and is part of an enrichment programme for younger visitors with lessons delivered to local schools around sutainability, linking into the national curriculum.
Wolves Lane Horticultural and Garden Centre also houses tropical attractions such as the Palm House, Cactus House and 'rainforest', which are all accessible during regular opening hours.

- Half-Standard Fushcia
- Petunia hanging pots and 9cm pots: £5.50 each OR 2 for £10
- Fuschia hanging pots and 9cm pots (including hardy varieties)
- Geranium hanging pots and bedding packs plus 9cm and 13cm pots
- Begonia hanging pots
- Hydrangeas - £4.99 each or 2 for £8
Bedding Plants available in packs of 12
- Mesembryanthemum
- Geranium
- Portulaca
- Marigold
- Silver Leaf
- Coleus
- Begonia
- and in pots - Alternanthera, Cosmos, Petunia (pin-stripe and dark velvet)
- a wide range of basket plants in 9cm pots

Vegatables: Butternut Squash, Courgette, Marrow, Sweetcorn, Kohl Rabi, Tomatoes, Pepper (Red Skin, Scotch Bonnet and Sweet Banana).
Fruit: Orange, Lemon and Grapefruit trees, Raspberry, Tayberry, Gojiberry and Grape.
A wide range of architectural garden plants.
Associated Sundries: Peat-Free Organic Compost, Grass Seed, Ceramic and Plastic Pots, Organic Fertilizers, John Innes, Manure, Seeds, Tools, Birdcare, Canes, Houseplants and Cacti.
As well as being able to help with purchases, staff will be able to provide expert advice.

Wolves Lane Horticultural and Garden Centre has an area which can seat up to 60 people. It has a distinct Mediterranean feel and is serviced by the in-house café (Green Pepper). There are also two large classrooms which can be hired for meetings, and the Centre can be hired for children’s parties. It provides a unique setting including the Palm house and Desert areas.

Getting there
By Bus: W4 stops directly outside the Nursery (on request). The 29, 239, 121 and 221 all stop outside Woodside Park, on the High Road N22 - the nursery is just a short walk from there.
By Tube: Wood Green Tube Station is about a 15 minute walk away
